How To Copy-Paste from Command Prompt

Command prompt is one of windows applications. In command prompt, we can't do copy-paste as usual. There is a special way to do that. Copy-paste in command prompt is not like we do in office application. Combination keys like Control+C and then Control+V, it can't be done in command prompt. But, if we want to copy-paste from the other application to command prompt, there is an option to do that, just right click and choose "paste". These are the steps :
  • Open command prompt by pressing combination keys Windows+R, and then type "cmd" in "open:" box.

  • When command prompt have openend, just type random word, or you can try "ipconfig" to know your IP.
  • Then, right click in command prompt area, choose "Mark".

  • Do a selection in command prompt. You can do it by pressing shift key and arrow key (up, down, right, left), or you can do that with pointer of your mouse or touchpad. Left click and hold, and then move your pointer to the area that you want to copy.

  • Then when you've finished your selection, just "right click" to copy. Or you can press "Enter" key.
  • Then, paste your selection in a microsoft word or notepad.
